ZLATAN CONFIDENT ON TITLE
AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is confident his club will be top of Serie A at the end of the season.
The Swedish striker scored as Milan beat relegation-threatened Cesena 2-0 on Sunday evening to maintain their four point lead over second-placed Napoli.
Defending champions Inter were beaten 3-1 by Udinese on Sunday, leaving them six points adrift of the top, and Ibrahimovic believes the title is in his side's hands.
“We are keeping our rhythm and playing our game. What happens behind us gives us an advantage and the more points we get the bigger lead we have," the 29-year-old told Sky Italia.
“I had a little luck with the goal. Robinho gave me a good ball and I saw the goalkeeper was a little off his line.”
The result leaves AC Milan well ahead of the chasing pack, and with an easier run in than their city-rivals Inter. On the sports betting markets their odds have dropped from 5-1 to a measly 2-1, which means that the bookies really can't see AC putting a foot wrong. Time will tell.
