Rooney to fight for his place
Wayne Rooney has stated that he will fight for his place and that he will not listen to the critics.
Indeed the Manchester United and England forward has come under intense criticism during recent weeks as his form has dwindled. To make matters worse, Wayne Rooney was pictured as partying after an England match while he was instructed to go to bed.
Wayne Rooney admitted that he made a mistake and that he will not do the same thing again. However, he does not agree with critics that say that he is not trying hard enough on the pitch. The England international stated that he always give 100% on the pitch and that he does understand those critics.
Indeed Wayne Rooney has enjoyed a poor start to this campaign, and he has been dropped by Jose Mourinho in the match against Arsenal. The Portuguese manager, however, has stated that he did not drop Rooney because of his form but rather he was looking to send out a team of players with pace in order to hurt Arsenal on the break.
Wayne Rooney has stated that he still feel capable of playing at the highest level and that he will continue to fight for his place.
Former Rooney’s teammate Paul Scholes has stated that the England international is still good enough to play for his club and country and that he will come back stronger. He said that Wayne Rooney is a fighter and that he always give his best for the team. He said that the criticism comes from people that do not know the player personally and not from anyone connected to Manchester United.
Paul Scholes said that fans should give Rooney some time and that he should be able to come back at his best level soon.
