French giants PSG (Paris Saint Germain) have been boosted by the return of star player Neymar to training ahead of the final lap of the season. The return of Neymar to PSG training would have delighted new manager Mauricio Pochettino who was recently appointed into the job after the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel. German tactician Thomas Tuchel was sacked by PSG some months after leading the French champions to the Champions League final.

Mauricio Pochettino will have a fit Neymar for the second half of the season as PSG chase honours on all fronts especially in the Champions League where they have been drawn with Spanish La Ligagiants Barcelona in the round of 16. Neymar will be fit to face his former club Barcelona whom he left almost four years ago in a controversial manner. Neymar left Barcelona for PSG after the French giants paid the release clause in his then contract with the Spaniards. The transfer worth €222m made Neymar the most expensive player till date.

Neymar has suffered a lot of injury setbacks during his time at PSG and the latest one was during the league game with Lyon at home. He suffered an ankle injury following the tackle from Lyon midfielder Thiago Mendes who was sent off as a result. Neymar was in tears as he was stretched off and the initial expectation was that he would be out for months but that was not the case as the Brazilian international has recovered from the injury in less than a month. His injury overshadowed the 1-0 home defeat to Lyon courtesy the goal from Zimbabwe national team player TadeKadewere.Thiago Mendes and his family received a lot of death threats from fans despite his apology for the ankle injury sustained by the PSG after a full-bloodied challenge from him.
