GALA STILL STRUGGLING

Galatasaray continued their poor form once again, as they failed to beat Antalyaspor.

Galatasaray were coming into the match on the back of a run that has seen them go without a win in the last four matches. The Turkish giants were the favourites ahead of the match, despite their poor form leading up into the encounter.

Fans turned out in large numbers braving the cold weather, which has been plaguing Europe over the last few weeks. Despite the support of the home fans, Galatasaray could not convert their home advantage into their first win in five matches.

Galatasaray were defeated by Bursaspor on Saturday, which has meant that the match against Antalyaspor became even more crucial due to the points at stake. Almost 10,000 fans turned up to see Galatasaray play against Antalyaspor. However, the Turkish giants could only draw with Antalyaspor.

The 1-1 draw now makes the form table look even worse for Galatasaray, as they have taken just five points from their last four matches in the league. Antalyaspor took the lead in the 21st minute through a goal from Emrah Başsan.

However, Galatasaray came back into the match through a goal from former Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo. The Brazilian scored in the 35th minute to give Galatasaray the edge going into the second half.

However, Galatasaray could not make use of the advantage, as they failed to take their opportunities in the second half. Antalyaspor stood strong in the second half, which meant that Galatasaray had to settle for just one point.

This may not affect their chances of winning the title, as the title still has a long way to go, but it certainly provides a ray of hope for the teams chasing Galatasaray. The loss of Emmanuel Eboue was regarded as one of the key reasons for Galatasaray not winning.
